Steps to possibly get this working:
1. untar the multimon source
2.  apply the patches in the multimon-patches directory.
3. Compile multimon and put it in your path.
4. edit the top of the dtmfc script changing paths where needed.
5. run dtmfc

This requires mixer.c from soundutils
